• HUD (office of Housing and Development) offers a Section 8 Rental Voucher program for very low income households. The families get to choose privately owned rental housing and the PHA (Public Housing Authority), pays the landlord the difference between 30% of household income and the determined payment standard of between 80 to 100% of the Fair Market Rent.
