-BACK-

It was good to be back with all of you in May. They say summer is here, but when will it ever warm up. The
weather up north here has had its variations. The mushroom hunters are on the loose, seeking that mouth-
watering morel mushroom, that really dresses up those steaks. Life here in the north is really good and it is truly Gods’ country. It seems funny to live here and watch the down starters coming up on Friday and think to yourself we use to do that. As you know, on the day of our last retiree meeting there was an election for financial secretary. Russ Creech was elected and Kevin Sewell was elected trustee. Congratulations to them both, and we look forward to working with you.

We will also have our retiree election this year. NOMINATIONS WILL BE AUGUST 13, 2001 with the ELECTION OF OFFICERS ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. REMEMBER DUE TO MEMBERSHIP ACTION THERE WILL BE NO JULY MEETING DUE TO FORD SHUT DOWN. We will resume meetings on August 13,2001 with a regular potluck lunch and meeting.

Our chapter continues to grow and this we like to see. All you retirees are welcome, so please come and join us. Many of our retirees have been traveling on trips that have been offered thorough the chapter and as usual all have a great time. Mary Papenhagen is our trip coordinator who does a great job. Thank you Mary. As I close for this month, you all take care and we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

In Solidarity
Sharon McMurray
Retiree President.
