Health & Safety Saline Safety Team

The Safety Awareness 1 Stand Down undertaken here at Saline Visteon as well as all Visteon and Ford Motor Company on November 2, 2000, was a resounding success. It was intended to bring to everyone's attention the fact that we often work around, or near, equipment or machinery that can cause serious injury or death to anyone at any time if we ignore or fail to follow established health and safety guidelines and to get information from employees on what we need to do to improve our results.

Representatives from the UAW as well as Visteon visited our plant during the Stand Down and were impressed with the UAW and Company leadership demonstrated in our facility. The feedback received indicates that we have accomplished what we set out to do through the cooperative efforts of those involved with the planning and implementation of this initiative.

We still have issues and areas to improve on and we will get there through cooperative efforts from everyone here at Saline.

The Saline UAW Safety Team would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.
