Holiday greetings from
the retiree president's desk The holiday season is here and did the year go fast. Last year all we heard was the year of the millennium and here we are headed toward the year 2001. The retiree chapter has had a very good year, an active one at that. The chapter will head to soaring eagle for an over night trip, good luck to all. Our thanksgiving banquet was a huge success with a lot of new faces, we hope you continue to join us. There were many lucky retirees who took home turkeys and beautiful decoration from our raffle. As the Christmas season is at hand we held our Christmas banquet which was our last get together for the year. We had a great attendance, and a fantastic meal prepared by Debbie's Catering Service. A lot of good food and solidarity. Retirees reminisce about old times and how good retirement is thanks to the UAW and now that we are retired and doing what we want to do, how did we have time to work? Ah the good life. As we close for the year 200 I wish to thank the chapter for their continuos support. Those of you going south have a blessed holiday and a healthy winter and we will see you next spring. We will commence on March 12, 2001 with a potluck dinner and the chapter will furnish the meat. God Bless, Be safe and Happy Holidays. In Solidarity Sharon McMurray |
