Retiree President Ken Papenhagen

I had the pleasure of enjoying our recent Mystery Trip with many of our retirees and active members and their spouses. Our first stop was Mulligan's Restaurant where we enjoyed a nice relaxing dinner. We then traveled to Jackson Community College to see the production of "A Christmas Carol". What a pleasant way to get into the holiday spirit!

At our last meeting it was decided to begin providing breakfast at the union hall before each membership meeting. For a minimal charge retirees will cook breakfast and all proceeds will benefit the retiree chapter.

Our first meeting of the New Year will be held on March 11, 2002 at 12:00 noon. The chapter will provide the meat for the dinner, but you will need to bring a dish to pass and your own place setting. I would like to encourage all the retirees to attend and of course your spouse or guest is also welcome.

Prior to the luncheon on March 11, we will be holding an executive board meeting at 10:00 am for the chapter officers.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe Christmas and New Year, and I hope to see everyone in March.
