Here it is August already, where did the summer go. Fall is just
around the corner and what a lovely time of the year. Our summer has
been quite busy and not all for the good as I lost both of my parents
in June with in two weeks.
The retiree chapter will have held their nominations for officers in
August and the election will be held on September 10,2001 from
10:00a.m. till 12:00p.m. if any offices are contested they will have
to be elected, those who run unopposed are duely elected.
After many years of service to our local union the time has come to
turn the reigns over to someone else. I have thoroughly enjoyed the
positions I've held and especially my terms as Retiree President. I
thank all whom I have worked with, their time and help. October will
be my last meeting to chair as President. I leave with many good
friendships and memories I will treasure. Thank you for your support.
As I bid my membership good by as their President I wish the retiree
chapter the best and hope it continues to grow and prosper. Thanks
again P.S. Remember September 10,2001 is Election Day and it will be
potluck and the chapter will furnish the meat.
Sharon McMurray
Retiree President
