Here are some trips that are being planned for 2006. For more information call the person responsible for each trip (their numbers are listed below) or you may contact Saline Travelers at 734-429-9274.

August 15-17, 2006 - Belterra Casino & Underground Railroad. Double occupancy is $297 per person.   Tour includes Six hour Underground Railroad tour, featuring Old Washington, Kentucky, Ripley Ohio, Rankin House, Parker House, Ohio Tobacco Museum, Harriet Beecher Stowe home, Slavery to Freedom Museum, a first person portrayal of Eliza crossing the river.  Two night’s accommodations at Belterra Casino, two breakfasts, two dinners, and one lunch at the casino. 

August 22, 2006 - Greektown Casino plus the Diamond Jack. $43 per person. Spend a day at the casino voted “Michigan’s best overall casino, and Michigan's best winning slots” by the Detroit News.  That casino is Greektown Casino!  Then set off on the Diamond Jack for a delightful two hour cruise.  From the Ambassador Bridge to Belle Isle, you’re sure to enjoy your cruise on the Detroit River.  Tour includes Round trip motor coach transportation, visit to Greektown Casino in Detroit (Casino package includes a $15 coin voucher), taxes and tips on included admissions, and 2 hour narrated cruise.  Departs the Saline Senior Center at 8:15am and approximate return time is 7:15pm.

September 16, 2006 - South Dakota - The Black Hills & Badlands. Cost per person: Double $1,449, Single $1,899, and Triple $1,469.   Price includes Round trip Air from Detroit, 11 meals, and more.  Highlights are the 1880 Steam Train, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Memorial, the Journey Museum, Wall Drug Store, Badlands National Park, and Deadwood.

September 20, 2006 - Spectacular South Africa Culture & Nature in Harmony w/ optional Victoria Falls post-tour extension. Price per person: $3,989 double, $4,639 single.  Includes airfare, 14 days, 19 meals, and more.  Highlights include: Johannesburg, Soweto, Panoramic Route, Kruger National Park, Safari Game Drive, Garden Route, Knysna, Featherbed Nature Reserve, Ostrich Farm Visit, Cape Town, Table Mountain, and Winery Tour. 

October 5, 2006 - Discover Tuscany w/ optional Rome post-tour extension. Price for single occupancy is $2,799, double is $2,549 per person, and triple is $2,519 per person.  Price includes round trip airfare from Detroit, hotel transfers, departure tax, 9 days, 12 meals (7 breakfasts, 5 dinners), tour including Rome, Florence, Siena, Lucca, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Florence, Tuscany, and more. Optional 2 night Rome post-tour extension is $349-$449 per person and includes two meals. 

October 23-26, 2006 - Grand Hotel Mackinac Island, Michigan. $587 per person with double occupancy, Single supplement must add $204; Triple occupancy can subtract $51.  Your trip includes Round trip transportation via Deluxe Charter Bus, accommodations at the beautiful Grand Hotel, tea & cookies on three afternoons, 3 full breakfasts each morning, 2 Lunch Buffets, 3 Five-Course dinners all at the Grand Hotel.  You will also get a champagne reception before the banquet dinner, round-trip ferry and horse drawn taxi to/from dock/hotel, horse drawn carriage tour, planned tournament/activities, discount pricing on bicycle rental, golf, and photos, and nightly demitasse, dancing to the Grand Hotel Orchestra, and Feature movies.

Single occupancy is $229.  Tour includes roundtrip motorcoach transportation, one nights lodging at the Best Western Fallsview, Admission to Vicki Lawrence in Concert, buffet breakfast, gaming at Niagara Falls Casino (Casino package presently has a $10 value), Drive by the Winter Festival of Lights display, viewing of Niagara Falls, Baggage Handling, taxes and tips on included food, lodging, and admissions.

November 30, 2006 December 1-3, 2006 - Miracle of Christmas. Cost per person:  Double $486, Triple $466.  Package includes three nights lodging, roundtrip motor coach transportation, shopping at Rockvale Outlets, Back road tour, Strasburg Railroad, shopping at Bird-in-hand, Amish family style dinner, reserved seat for Miracle of Christmas, Landis Valley Museum, luncheon with Der Belsnickel, Christkindlemarkdt, Hershey Chocolate World, and more.  $100 deposit is due September 29, 2006.  Final payment is due October 28, 2006.

January 19, 2007 - Caribbean Cruise featuring Southern Florida and a 7 night cruise aboard Costa Cruise Line’s Mediterranean. Cost is $1,949 per person for double, $2,899 for single, and $1,849 for triple.  Cost includes 11 days, 23 meals; highlights are Deerfield Beach, Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Key West, Grand Cayman, Rotan, and Cozumel.

March 13, 2007 - Israel: A Journey to the Holy Land. Cost per person: $2,849 double, 3,299 single, and $2,819 triple.  Price includes airfare, 14 meals, and more. Highlights include: Tel Aviv, Caesarea, Jaffa, Tiberias, Nazareth, Sea of Galilee, Jericho, Dead Sea, Masada, Qumran Jerusalem, Mount of Olives, Wailing Wall, and Bethlehem.
