Introduction
to Power Sculpting –
This 8 week course is designed to introduce the tools & basic
techniques used in rotary powercarving. Students will create a
two-dimensional sculpture.

Intermediate Power Sculpting – In this 10 week course students will build upon skills learned in Intro. to Power Sculpting. Additional powertools will be introduced along with “sculpting in the round.” Students will create a lifelike round carving. PDA approved

Advanced Power Sculpting – This 12 week course is for the experienced powercarver. This class will build upon skills acquired in Intro. & Intermediate Power Sculpting. Three-dimensional sculpture will be practiced. Students will create a lifelike animated object. PDA approved

Beginning Pyrography – This 6 week course introduces beginners to the 15th century trade of Pyrography (which literally means “fire writing” in Latin). Students will learn care and safety features of burnishing tools. They will be introduced to a variety of Pyrography styles, such as, Victorian, Realism and Landscape. PDA approved

Beginning Scroll Saw – In this introductory 6 week class we will cover basic information, such as, safety procedures for operating the scroll saw, types of cuts, setting angles and depth of cuts. Students will learn to transfer patterns to create a scroll saw project. PDA approved

Beginning Intarsia – In this class students will be introduced to the ancient art of Intarsia, which is the making of decorative and pictorial mosaics by laying precious and exotic materials into or onto a solid wooden backer. During this 10 week course students will be introduced to disc, palm and belt sanders, along with safety instructions on each. Students will create a beginning Intarsia piece. PDA
