UAW CAMPGROUND INFORMATION 1. Camping is allowed only on the camp site assigned to you. One camper per campsite. Visitors must leave the Center by 11:00 p.m. 2. You are responsible for your campsite. 3. Consideration for other campers must be exercised at all times. After 10:00 p.m., no loud music, noise, etc. Quiet must be maintained. 4. Garbage must be wrapped and placed in containers provided. 5. Bonfires may be built only in the fire ring at the park pavilion and must be out by 11:00 p.m. Do not cut trees or shrubs. 6. Dishwashing and laundry facilities are provided at the campground Utility Center. Dishwashing and laundering must be confined to this area. 7. Restrooms and showers are located at the campground Utility Center. 8. Ice may be purchased at the campground pavilion. 9. Pets must be kept in campground area only. Pets must be on a leash at all times. Leashes must not be longer than 6 feet. You are responsible for your pet waste. 10. No hunting allowed on UAW property. All weapons must be checked at the Main Gate upon arrival. 11. An emergency telephone is located in the campground Pavilion. Pay phones are available in Main lobby. 12. Motorized vehicles are not to be around the grounds. Motorized wheelchairs, however, are allowed. 13. All bicycles must be registered with Security at the Main Gate. All bicycles must suitable safety reflector tape or device necessary, they will be provided by Security for your stay. Recreation The Center's attractive beach front facilities, including a boat dock and launching ramp, are available to campers. Swimming, sports and relaxing in the sun make this a favorite spot. All boats must be registered at Main Gate. At the campground, volleyball and basketball pavements are conveniently located next to the parking lot. The Park Pavilion and bonfire ring are popular facilities for camper cookouts and sing-alongs. For those interested in scheduling tee times at the Black Lake Golf Club, call (989) 733-4653. Indoor showers, toilets and coin-operated washers and dryers are available in buildings. Electric current, direct water and sewage facilities are available at all 51 campsites. You will receive a written confirmation as soon as your application is processed. Campsites will be assigned upon arrival. Dining Campers are welcome to use the cafeteria dining facilities of the UAW Family Education Center when the Center is in operation and such facilities are otherwise available. Subject to the foregoing, camper families may purchase meal tickets at the Front Desk in the main lobby. Tickets must be presented in the Dining Room. Only campers with meal tickets are allowed Dining Room during meal times. Proper attire must be worn in the Dining Room: shoes, shirts, etc. NO BATHING SUITS. Sandwiches and your favorite cocktails are served at The Inn and Sports Bar during open hours. Black Lake is easy to reach from anywhere in the United States or Canada. TWO (2) WEEKS MAXIMUM STAY PER YEAR. Local Union Financial Secretary must verify your membership and status. 2005 Campground Open: June 17 through September 9 CHECK IN time on your day of arrival shall be 2:00 p.m. CHECK OUT time on the day of departure shall be 11:00 am.
